The market will probably shift to focus on the problems in the United States rather than in Europe. Normally gold and the Euro go in the same direction, but this time they went in opposite directions. This is rather bullish for gold and silver. The 30 year yield closed at an 8 month high. There is both a falling dollar and falling bond prices. This shows that there is a serious inflationary problem. Everyone is beating up on China for being currency manipulators. The Chinese are pegged to the dollar, and the are manipulating their currency in order to maintain a stable relationship with the dollar. When they first pegged their money to the dollar, it was a prudent choice. At the time, the dollar was extremely stable and was backed by gold. A stronger Chinese currency means that prices in China will fall. The Chinese people will be able to purchase more goods and enjoy a higher standard of living. However, the reverse is true in the United States. The weaker dollar means that all the citizens will have less purchasing power. This will lower their standard of living. We’re a little rusty at the game seeing as we haven’t played a multiplayer match in this game in probably 10 years. We’ve got Turbo mode and paintball mode on.

Discovered by a metal detectorist in 2002 near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, the sword pommel and hilt fittings are an outstanding find of very high quality workmanship and are the first sword fittings of this type from Anglo-Saxon England. Leading Lincolnshire archaeologist Kevin Leahy recently identified five separate, beautifully decorated pieces of gold as fittings from a single Anglo-Saxon sword handle of the 7th century. There was a pommel cap, two plates from the pommel and the crosspiece respectively, and two ferrules from the hilt itself. Each bore decoration in gold filigree, the applied wire fused with the metal beneath to form an invisible bond. Garnets had been inset in ‘cabochon’ style – which means they had not been cut, but were left as pebbles and polished. The bottoms of the cells in which the garnets had been placed were formed from corrugated gold foil, which reflected the light, making them glitter.
